Nove Colli Cesenatico: for true cycling enthusiasts

Reaching its 55th edition in 2026, the Nove Colli is one of Europe’s most important granfondos dedicated to cycling.

From the charming town of Cesenatico, this cycling race sets off for true cycling enthusiasts.

It all started as a game, perhaps even a bet, at a table in the Bar del Corso in Cesenatico, among a small group of friends—just eight people—united by a single great passion for cycling. And so, over a coffee, a card game, and some casual conversation, the “Fausto Coppi” cycling club was founded in 1965.

From the Bar del Corso in Cesenatico, on May 20, 1971, at 5 a.m., seventeen cyclists pedaled off to start the very first Nove Colli.

Today, those seventeen pioneers have grown into 12,000 cyclists passionate about climbs and descents.

The Nove Colli has evolved and modernized, introducing routes dedicated to children while always preserving the spirit of its early days.

Riding through breathtaking landscapes between hills and the sea, the Nove Colli is organized into three routes:

• Long Route
• Medium Route
• Gravel Route

Those who wish to participate in the Nove Colli can register independently on the Nove Colli website, or choose the “Hotel + race number” package, which allows starting from the “Bike Hotel” grid.

Hotel Gallia offers the possibility to purchase a bib for the “Bike Hotel” starting grid.

Located close to the start and finish of the Nove Colli, which take place along the seafront at Colonia Agip, Hotel Gallia is the perfect base for participants.
